Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers about how things work here.

What is UPSTRM?
UPSTRM is a community directory of servers and projects. People list things they find useful, vote on them, and discuss.
What are points and levels?
You earn points when people upvote servers you listed or built, and for a few actions like listing a new server. Points roll up into levels. Rough guide:
  • Bronze: 50+
  • Silver: 200+
  • Gold: 500+
  • Platinum: 1000+
Points affect certain badges and leaderboards.
How do badges work?
Badges show milestones. Some are automatic (e.g., first server, 100 upvotes), some reflect ranking (Top 10), and some are awarded by the team (Staff Pick, Hackathon Winner). Hover a badge on a profile to see what it means.
How do I submit a server?
Head to the submit page. You’ll be asked for a title, link, short description, and a few optional details.
How do votes and ranking work?
Items can be upvoted by signed-in users. The home page lets you sort by hot, new, or top over different time ranges.
How do I create and manage collections?
Collections let you group servers you like. After you sign in, use the "add to collection" action on any server, or view everything on the collections page.
Where can I see my notifications?
Check the bell in the header or go to the notifications page. You’ll see replies, mentions, and other alerts there.
Do I need an account?
You can browse without an account. To submit, vote, follow, or manage collections, you’ll need to sign in.
How do I report an issue or contact the team?
Visit the contact page and send us a note. We’ll get back to you as soon as we can.
